I know that I haven't posted in a while. Hell, it is not like anyone reads this anyway...
My blog is a vent for my daily trials and tribulations.
Most people who know me will attest to my disposition towards the Apple computing platform. It completely outclasses Windows in every aspect. With that said, now the rant...
I was applying the latest round of patches to my wife's Windows XP laptop when I noticed that the wireless connection died all together.
After I got off of the phone with Linksys (yup, it went to that level), I opened IE to try and download Firefox but an MS Office installed ran and asked for the CD. ???
I know IE is so engrained into Windows that it is nearly impossible to remove, but an update to office affects IE? Why the f*ck does an office update require me to produce a CD any way!
It is not like I just carry them on me! Please, I personally ditched MS office for OpenOffice.org
Okay, so I place my only Office 2003 Pro CD in the drive and the installer tells me it is not the right one.
Right... I'll just get my other office CD...
I figured that I would try the Office repair feature from Add/Remove programs. After, entering in my product key, guess what the repair program wanted? The f*cking install CD, you know? The wrong one.
A complete remove and reinstall, followed by yet another lengthy update session. Wait, wasn't that the process that landed me here in the first place?

Dude, just like me, you need to get out more.
Cheers.
